Whether you’re in the market for luxury goods or one-of-a-kind items, there are some seriously great shopping malls in Nashville.

I’m a Nashville local, and I have experience with all the major malls in Nashville. From the outlet and factory stores at Opry Mills Mall to the luxury stores in the Mall at Green Mills, visiting malls makes for a fun activity in Nashville.

In this article, I’ll let you in on the best Nashville malls and what you’ll find at each. Let’s get started!

The Mall at Green Hills

A luxury mall not far from downtown featuring high-end department stores and specialty shops.

The Mall at Green Hills is a two-story luxury mall with high-end retailers and budget-friendly stores alike. You’ll find shops like Burberry, David Yurman, and Louis Vuitton alongside Zara and H&M. Department stores include Nordstrom, Dillard’s, and Macy’s.

The Mall at Green Hills is one of the best shopping malls to go to if you really love to shop. I go here pretty often on rainy days because the parking garage is covered by the elements.

CoolSprings Galleria

A classic indoor mall with a good mix of typical mall brands, unique shops, and local stores.

Located just south of Nashville in Franklin, the CoolSprings Galleria is a two-story mall with shops that all ages will enjoy. Department stores here include Belk, Dillard’s, Macy’s, and JCPenney.

CoolSprings Galleria has a lot of typical mall brand staples like Aerie, Bath & Body Works, and Hollister. There are also a few unique shops like the only American Girl store in Tennessee. You can also check out Puffy Cotton Candy, a locally-owned shop making adorable creations out of the sweet treat.

The mall has a small play area for kids under 42 inches, which is a great activity in Nashville for kids. There is also a food court with a range of choices like Chick-fil-A. CoolSpring Galleria is perfect for shopping alone or with family.

L&L Market

A fun collection of specialty stores housed in a converted factory from 1929.

L&L Market is a relatively small indoor market, but it has plenty to offer. Many of the shops, like clothing store Vinnie Louis, are local.

L&L Market also has one of the four locations of Made in TN, a shop that makes it easy to pick up locally-made gifts. Barefoot Cottage is also a cute store to check out here.

Besides fun shops, L&L Market has some outstanding eateries. Five Daughters Bakery, Gracie’s Milkshake Bar, and Instagram favorite Culture + Co are all located here.

Opry Mills Mall

A giant outlet mall with over 200 stores as well as a wide variety of popular dining and entertainment options.

Opry Mills is the largest outlet mall in Nashville. It’s located in Music Valley near the Grand Ole Opry House. The mall has over 200 stores including Kate Spade, Coach, and Vera Bradley. There are so many factory and outlet stores here, so it perfect if you love finding good deals.

Opry Mills has a large food court and many other dining options. You’ll find great restaurants like Rainforest Cafe and the Aquarium Restaurant which has a 200,000-gallon tank filled with marine life.

You’ll also find a lot of entertainment options here. There’s a movie theater and a wax museum. The Escape Game, one of my favorite things to do in Nashville, is also located in Opry Mills.

Rivergate Mall

A mall just outside of Nashville that’s unexpectedly home to one of the area’s best shops for all things “nerd/geek.”

Rivergate Mall is a shopping mall located just outside of Nashville in Gallatin. The mall’s big anchor stores are Dillard’s and JCPenney, but it doesn’t have as many popular mall brands as you would expect given its size.

Rivergate Mall may not be the best spot for typical shoppers looking to go on a spree. However, the Rivergate Mall is home to a store called The Next Level Games. Fans of tabletop games and similar products will love this store. It’s a favorite spot for those who enjoy Pokemon, D&D, Magic: The Gathering, and related interests.

5th + Broadway

Shop without leaving Downtown at this huge shopping center full of retail, dining, and entertainment.

5th + Broadway is a collection of retail stores, dining, and entertainment located right in Downtown Nashville. Stores at 5th + Broadway include major brands like Sephora and Free People as well as local boutiques like Hollie Ray.

5th + Broadway is near the Ryman Auditorium and several other of Nashville’s top attractions. It’s a great break from sightseeing. Assembly Food Hall is also on 5th + Broadway. You’ll find 30 Nashville eateries and bars to try out here.

Fatherland District

A collection of small, local retailers with unique goods you won’t find anywhere else. Located in one of Nashville’s coolest neighborhoods.

The Fatherland District is one of the best places to go if you want to find unique local shops. The area is located in East Nashville, a Nashville neighborhood known for its cool, quirky atmosphere.

The shops in Fatherland are a lot of fun to browse. In particular, you can discover items you won’t find at mass retailers. For example, Gift Horse has specialty stationery and unusual gifts, Ellie Monster has vintage western goods, and Abode Mercantile has homewares and other items. If these don’t suit your tastes, then there are plenty of other shops to explore.

Hill Center Green Hills

A beautiful, brick outdoor mall with lots of trendy shops and a couple of good restaurants.

Hill Center Green Hills is one of the best open-air shopping malls in the city. It’s located just a few streets over from the Mall at Green Hills.

The Hill Center Green Hills has lots of trendy shops like West Elm and Anthropologie, but there are some local shops as well. White’s Mercantile is a local boutique in this open-air mall that carries a beautifully curated selection of home goods and other items. There’s also a Whole Foods in the shopping center.

You could easily spend a whole morning or afternoon shopping here, especially on days when the weather is nice. The Hill Center Green Hills also has one of two Shake Shack locations in Nashville.

Factory at Franklin

A retail space housed in a converted factory building with unique local boutiques, antique stores, and art galleries.

The Factory at Franklin is a shopping complex in a converted 1920s-era factory building. It’s one of the best things to do in Franklin, just a short drive from Nashville.

It’s one of the best shopping malls to find unique local boutiques plus antique stores and art galleries. You can find vintage styles in Ameraucana Blue, pick up shabby chic decor at Fork of the South, browse the records at Luna Records, and much more.

Nashville West Shopping Center

A fun outdoor shopping mall with great stores, fabulous restaurants, and a park for families to enjoy.

The Nashville West Shopping Center is one of the best shopping malls for families. The open-air shopping center has major stores including Target, World Market, and Books-a-Million.

One of the best features of Nashville West is that it has a park with a playground. Once you’re done shopping, kids can let out some of their energy in the jungle gym. Of course, there are plenty of other fun parks to visit in Nashville, too.

My favorite part about Nashville West Shopping Center is NY Pie. I try to time my trips there around lunchtime so I can get a slice of pizza!

100 Oaks Mall

Once the largest shopping mall in Tennessee, this shopping center has retail stores as well as a unique movie theater.

100 Oaks is a shopping mall located just a few miles south of Downtown Nashville. Major stores here are Michaels, Kirkland’s, and TJMaxx. This was the largest mall in Tennessee from 1968–1971. However, Vanderbilt University Medical Center fills much of the complex with clinics and offices.

The Regal Hollywood movie theater is what makes 100 Oaks special. The theater is huge and has some fun 1950s retro-style architecture and decor (it was built in 1998 though). 100 Oaks is also right next to Hugh Baby’s, a burger restaurant that also feels like a mini blast from the past.

Five Point Alley Shops

One of the best places to shop to support small businesses in Nashville.

The Five Points Alley Shops is one of the best places to shop locally in Nashville. The area houses 8 small businesses. One of my favorites is Fairytales Bookstore, a tiny little store filled with an excellent selection of children’s books and toys.

You can buy beads and jewelry-making supplies at Black Dog Beads and browse the vintage wares at Good Buy Girls plus more.

GasLamps Antiques & Decorating Mall

Score truly one-of-a-kind finds at the largest antique mall in Nashville.

GasLamp Antiques is one of the best shopping malls for vintage and antique finds. The mall is located just up the road from 100 Oaks Mall, so it’s easy to visit both on the same outing. There are more than 300 vendor booths at GasLamp Antiques and it’s so popular that the owners opened a second location nearby called GasLamp Too.

You’ll be amazed by the quality of the items available. Each booth is carefully curated, and there’s everything from Art Deco treasures to Tennessee collectibles. The prices are not bargains, but you won’t find any junk being sold as antiques here. This is the place to shop if you want things that no one else will have.

Vinterest Nashville

An adorable shopping center filled with vendors selling everything from country music memorabilia to locally designed graphic tees.

Located in Music Valley, Vinterest Nashville has 50 vendors selling boutique, handmade, and vintage items. Every single vendor has something unique to offer and it’s a fresh, fun take on the standard antique mall.

You might find vintage dishes and hand-made jewelry located alongside homemade baked goods. There’s such a fun, creative vibe here. Vinterest does have two other locations – their headquarters in Hixon and one in Chattanooga. So, you can always take a day trip from Nashville if you can’t get enough.

Courtyard on Bandywood

A small collection of boutiques selling high-end jewelry and apparel plus a cool international find.

The Courtyard on Bandywood is located in Green Hills near two other shopping malls – The Mall at Green Hills and Hill Center Green Hills. There are just a handful of shops in the courtyard including Yearly Co. which sells fine jewelry handmade in Nashville and Patch which sells boutique children’s clothes.

The Courtyard on Bandywood is almost too small to be considered a shopping center, but I had to include it because it’s home to one of my favorite Nashville stores, Little Gourmand. Little Gourmand is a French bakery that also sells authentic French products. You absolutely should stop by to browse and then pick up an eclair or tartlet before you leave.

Goodlettsville Antique Mall

A good-sized antique mall north of Nashville with a fun mix of antique and vintage goods.

Goodlettsville Antique Mall is located about 20 minutes north of Nashville. Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you, Goodlettsville Antique Mall is much larger than you’d expect with lots of vendors.

I first went to the Goodlettsville Antique Mall to look at a painted pink cupboard I saw on social media, so the definition of antique here is not as strict as some other antique stores. This area of Goodlettsville has several smaller antique stores as well. It’s worth visiting the Goodlettsville Antique Mall first and then making your way to other stores nearby if you really enjoy antiquing.

Providence MarketPlace

An open-air shopping mall with lots of popular national retailers.

Providence MarketPlace is located about 30 minutes east of Nashville in Mount Juliet. It’s one of the best shopping malls near Nashville if you plan to go on a long shopping spree. You can put your purchases in your car before going to the next store.

Providence MarketPlace has Target, Belk, JCPenney, TJ Maxx, and much more.
